The UM4PKG package contains all you need to record onto digital media via your computer. The microphone plugs into the USB socket on your desktop or laptop via a 6-foot cable. The package also includes sound editing software, which is compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems. Along with the microphone and the software, the package includes other essential equipment needed for any recording venture. You also get a microphone stand that bends and suspends the microphone. This is similar to the support on an angle poise lamp, and it clamps to a desk, rather than standing on the floor. The stand has a high-tech grip, which acts as a shock mount, and won’t let the microphone slip, even if you choose to hang it upside down. You have probably seen videos of popstars recording in the studio. You frequently see a guard placed between the singer and the microphone. This is called a pop filter” and it prevents bursts of breathe causing bumping sound when they hit the microphone. There is a filter included in this pack and it should be fixed to the mic arm via a clamp, which is supplied on the end of the filter’s flexible connecting branch.
